The Vinery Centre's 10th Birthday
Ten years ago, following a hugely successful fundraising campaign, The Vinery Centre opened its doors!
The centre was purpose built to provide not only a base for Leeds Mencap services but also an accessible space for others to use, supporting both the local community and individuals with learning disabilities, their families and carers from Leeds.
We have surpassed our initial attendance projections by 100%, with over 4200 people attending the Centre each year (24/25). This significant growth demonstrates the sustained value of our presence in the community and underscores our position as a trusted, essential provider for families and organisations across Leeds.
To celebrate 10 years of The Vinery Centre, we held a party for children and young people who access our services, and their families. We were thrilled to welcome Lion Learners and Party People Project to help us celebrate. The Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress led the birthday sing along and cut the cake.
A huge thank you to Irwin Mitchell Solicitors who supported the party with goodie bags and running the cafe, and to Asda Killingbeck, Tesco Seacroft and the Co-op for providing party food and refreshments.
