Wish 9- Opportunities to take part in physical activity
The Child Friendly Leeds 12 Wishes represent the voices of children and young people in Leeds.
Here at Leeds Mencap, we support the CFL 12 Wishes and the campaign to raise awareness of these.
Wish 9 says:
"Children and young people know about different opportunities to take part in physical activity and are supported and encouraged to join in. They have access to the information they need to make healthy choices and have healthy and safe relationships."
At Leeds Mencap, we LOVE September! We welcome back all of our club attendees, the children that come to our Nursery and the families that we work with.
Our wonderful home, the Vinery Centre, gives our children and young people lots of opportunities to take part in fun, accessible physical activity that suits their needs.
We also make sure that we provide lots of healthy choices when it comes to meal and snack time.
We really value the importance of safe and healthy relationships, and tailor our sessions to support our children and young people to build positive new friendships.
