Wish 4 - Differences Are Celebrated
The Child Friendly Leeds 12 Wishes represent the voices of children and young people in Leeds. Leeds Mencap supports the CFL 12 Wishes and the campaign to raise awareness of these.
Wish 4 says : 'Differences are celebrated in Leeds so children and young people feel accepted for who they are. They do not experience bullying and discrimination.'
At Leeds Mencap, we embrace difference and diversity and celebrate everything that makes us unique and wonderful! People accessing all of our services have a hugely broad range of needs and we work towards ensuring that all that we do is fully inclusive.
We work with children and young people age 0 – 25 across our services, including our Ofsted Outstanding rated Community Nursery with a specialist playroom.
Everything that we do with our children and young people encourages understanding, acceptance and care. We create spaces where people are safe from bullying and discrimination.
