Wish 11- Young people have access to a wide range of work experience, employment and volunteering opportunities
The Child Friendly Leeds 12 Wishes represent the voices of children and young people in Leeds.
Here at Leeds Mencap, we support the CFL 12 Wishes and the campaign to raise awareness of these.
Wish 11 says:
"Young people have access to a wide range of work experience, employment and volunteering opportunities. They know where to get information and advice and are supported to access a wide range of opportunities that meet their needs and aspirations."
Do you know someone who is looking to build their knowledge and experience of working with children and young people with a learning disability, autism or other complex needs?
We are supported by fantastic volunteers in all areas of Leeds Mencap – and many of our volunteers are young people wanting to gain experience to support them in their college or university studies, as well as finding out more about the world of work and where their career path might take them.
