Rooms for hire for group activities

Leeds Mencap want the Vinery Centre to be a warm, welcoming space where everyone feels included. Our rooms are really flexible and can be hired out for any activity you can imagine.  We have an outdoor play area with inclusive play equipment, a cycle track and sensory path.  The rooms are bright and contemporary, come in a variety of sizes and have removable partition walls which means they can be hired individually or opened up into larger spaces.  They are ideal for community or group activities from playschemes, social clubs, dance groups, community fun days to church groups for worship.

The largest room has a kitchenette attached so you can bring your own lunch or refreshments, serve snacks or include cooking as part of your group’s activity.

We even have a room with a sink which is great if your activities involve anything like paint, glue or glitter!

We also have a small Therapy Room that can be used for health related consultations or treatments.

The flexibility and choice of rooms together with our Sensory and Soft Play Rooms, our accessible toilets and outdoor play space, not to mention our passion for friendly and welcoming customer service means you’re bound to have a good time with us.

On top of all that, by hiring out our rooms you’ll be supporting Leeds Mencap and people with learning disabilities along the way. Our team are happy to answer any questions you may have and advise you on the most suitable options for your needs. We always encourage new room hirers to come and have a look around the centre before hiring a room. You can call us on 0113 2351331 or use the enquiry form below to arrange a time.

What others say about our centre

The Leeds Community Healthcare Children’s Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy teams have been extremely grateful to The Vinery Centre for helping us respond to feedback about the venues used for some of our therapy clinics. We have used the fantastic soft play and therapy rooms to deliver our clinics for young children with Down syndrome … Feedback from our families has improved as a result … We look forward to continuing to work together in the future’. Laura Collins, Children’s Physiotherapy, Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust
