Why support us?

Partner with Leeds Mencap and your employees, suppliers and customers can play a vital role in helping children and young people with learning disabilities across Leeds find independence and learn new skills.

We’d love to be considered as your charity of the year or charity of the month or work with you on specific programmes or fundraising campaigns.

We’ll put together a plan for you so that your team are engaged and motivated and work with you so that our partnership is recognised locally. We have loads of ideas of fundraising events, challenges or at work activities that you can get involved with.

As an independent charity, we have to secure our own funds each year to keep providing our services, so if you’re thinking of nominating us, we very much appreciate it! What’s more your support will be helping us work towards building an inclusive society, celebrating each individuals’ specials skills and talents.

Please get in touch to discuss how we can support your next partnership today and how we can work together with your fantastic fundraising ideas.

Who you will be supporting

  • Jim and Emily

Emily was born with a rare brain disorder which affects her eyesight and coordination.  She also has a learning disability and this meant that growing up she needed extra support at school and home.  She found it difficult to access social activities because of a lack of support for individuals with additional needs.
