Why Support Us?
As an independent charity, working with companies makes a huge difference to us here at Leeds Mencap.
We have to secure all of our own funding each year, so our partners are crucial to help us continue our work. By joining with us, you’ll be making a huge difference to children with learning disabilities across Leeds.
There are loads of ways that your company can get involved – it could be through a partnership, through events in the workplace, challenges or a team building activity. Get in touch with us and we’ll be more than happy to chat about how we can work together.
Why others support us
Faithful+Gould is delighted to support Leeds Mencap with whom we share the same values and passion for building a better and brighter future for those in need. We are committed to making a difference and ensuring the legacy of positively influencing vulnerable people’s lives is long lasting. In light of these unprecedented times, now more than ever Faithful+Gould is really excited to give back to support our local community by organising and participating in various initiatives over the course of the next year.
Phil Thwaite, Director, Faithful+Gould.
“Having worked and lived in Leeds my entire life, it is an excellent opportunity for us to give something back as part of our social responsibility. We really want to support our local area, helping Leeds to thrive and develop in the future.
“I urge other businesses to support our local community and donate to great causes like Leeds Mencap in anyway they can. If that is personally through fundraising or with a product or service that your company can offer.”
Jonathan Marsden, Co-founder and CEO of The Technology Group, Leeds
Winston Solicitors LLP have been supporting us for a number of years and have done a variety of different events. These have included a fantastic annual quiz as well as taking part in our Accumulator Challenge and our Wear a Cap campaign.
“As an established Leeds law firm we are proud to support a local charity providing much-needed resources for children and young adults with learning disabilities across the city.”

On average we have over 2,500 attendees to our centre every year. In a year we help over 200 families and in addition over 400 children to have full and active lives. We want to do even more.
Our reports have shown on average each year we have reduced isolation for over 370 individuals, improved employability for over 100 adults with learning disabilities and improved health and wellbeing for over 200 individuals.
We have been doing this for 60 years for the communities of Leeds and we need people like you to help us to continue to do this.
