Summer Playscheme

Key information

Our playschemes run at The Vinery Centre from 10am to 3pm.

If you're new to our playschemes, we'll invite you to visit our centre before the playscheme starts. This will help us to know more about what your child needs to be able to come along safely and for you to understand how we will support your child and keep them safe.

Playscheme is open to all young people in Leeds with learning disabilities and additional needs, including those without a diagnosis. Our staff are willing to undertake any necessary medical training to ensure your child can safely attend our playschemes.

Please bring a packed lunch, drink and any spare clothes, medicine and personal care supplies needed.

Costs and how to pay

Costs for 2024 are £20 per day per child (with an additional cost to attend the Thursday Day Trip).

Payments can be made:

• via BACs or Faster Payments,
• by debit/credit card over the phone or in person at The Vinery Centre,
• or by cheque.

Please only pay once you receive confirmation of your place from Leeds Mencap.

Additional information

Within 2 weeks of applications closing you will receive your confirmation email from activities@leedsmencap.org.uk - you can add us to your contacts to avoid the email going to junk. We will also update social media to let you know when confirmation emails have gone out.

All people who submit BOTH forms before the deadline will be allocated places fairly. Places are not allocated on a first come, first serve basis. Due to high demand of the service we are increasingly unable to offer people all the days they ask for. However, we try to give all children as many of their preferred days as possible. Please check your confirmation carefully to see which days you have been offered.
