What is the SEND toy and resource library

Our SEND toy and resource library is available for families to borrow and try out toys to enhance at-home provision and support development.

We have an online catalogue that is split into development categories – designed to give guidance on which toys can be used to boost certain areas of development. 

Toy Library Subscription is an add on to your membership account – when signing up you can choose to register as a free member or to purchase a Toy Library subscription.

How our toy library works

To use our toy library, you’ll need to:

1. Become a Leeds Mencap Member,
2. agree to our terms and conditions, and
3. pay a yearly subscription fee (£25 for parents and carers, £50 for professionals).

When we’ve received your membership form and subscription fee, you can view our online catalogue to request and borrow our available toys.

We do not offer item delivery. Items you order must be collected from The Vinery Centre during our opening hours.

Parents can rent a maximum of 3 toys at a time, each for a period of up to 4 weeks.
