IMPORTANT NOTICE TO OUR SERVICE USERS: Leeds Mencap services and COVID-19
Please see details about Leeds Mencap services and COVID-19.
1st June 2020
On 28th May the government announced measures to ease the lock down measures that have been in place since March. These measures have only permitted more contact between individuals and households at 2m distance, outside.
As the majority of our services take place indoors this means we are not yet able to re-start face to face services safely.
We are in the process of working out what measures we will need to put in place to be able to restart services in the building whilst keeping the people we are supporting and staff as safe as possible. We will also be considering the risks that might be there for individual children and young people and so staff may be in touch with you over the coming weeks to discuss with you what you/your child would need to be put in place to feel confident about returning.
In the meantime we will continue to keep in touch with you by phone and email. We hope the activity packs and zoom sessions are helping you to keep in touch and keep occupied. We’d be really interested to hear whether there are any other activities you would like us to try and organise that can be done within the current guidance.
We look forward to seeing you all again and hope that this will not be too far into the future.
If you have questions please contact us on info@leedsmencap.org.uk or on 0113 235 1331
