The 2.6 Challenge

Fundraisers across the UK have been taking part in the 2.6 Challenge to help save the UK’s charities and we’re calling on you to set up your very own challenge and raise vital funds for Leeds MencapHere are some examples of challenges that have already taken place.

Our very own Head of Fundraising, Sarah enlisted the help of her son Stanley to run 26 laps of their garden. Stanley has already raised nearly £700.

Billy is going to be doing a bike ride from Leeds united football stadium on Elland Road to Manchester United football stadium at Old Trafford. Billy has so far raised over £1,000.

Our Development Manager, enlisted her son and his dog to get involved, skateboarding 26 laps of the block near where he lives, whilst singing and dancing and his dog (Maggie) was set the challenge of catching 26 tennis balls! They have raised over £300.

It’s not too late to get involved – here are four easy steps to set up the 2.6 Challenge:

1. Decide on your 2.6 challenge.
This can be any activity you like- whether it’s walking or running for 2.6 miles, doing 260 star jumps. juggle for 2.6 minutes, not talk for 26 minutes, Click here for more ideas.

2. Set up your fundraising page
This couldn’t be easier. Simply click here to set up your 2.6 challenge page. 

3. Let your friends and family know
Share your fundraising page with friends and family and ask them to sponsor you.

4. And most importantly, have fun!
This is all about getting active in a way that’s most enjoyable for you. We can’t wait to see what you come up with.
