China’s Great Wall Trek

Imposing and beautiful in equal measure, you can raise money for those living with a learning disability in Leeds and conquer the imperial masterpiece of the Ming dynasty.

One of the world's most iconic structures, China's Great Wall is a thrilling setting for an adventure that will test you to the limits. Originally built to protect the power of the Ming dynasty, this section of wall lies to the north of Beijing, amongst the mountains that once stood between imperial China and the nomadic tribes that threatened it.

The Great Wall trek is a thrilling challenge of twists, turns, ups and downs. Beginning 4 hours north of Beijing, our challenge takes us on a series of vigorous upward climbs covering over 10,000 relentless steps over the course of a week. As the days progress we follow the winding path along the mountains that straddle the spectacular Gubeikou Gateway. Exhaustion will quickly make way to wonder as you behold the sweeping views over the vast mountain ranges.

This is classed as a moderate challenge and is perfect for those looking to test their limits on the adventure of a lifetime!

All we ask is a registration fee of £375 to secure your place and a minimum sponsorship of £2,975.

If you are interested in taking on this challenge please call the fundraising team on 0113 235 1331 or email info@leedsmencap.org.uk.
