Volunteer Evening Leeds Mencap's first Volunteer Evening was a great success with some fantastic people attending. The venue was the lovely old Victoria pub near the Town Hall and volunteers were treated to a free drink and chocolate cake! Staff and trustees were on hand to answer questions and chat a bit about our services. It was lovely to be able to talk to people face to face and we found out all about your hidden skills, which can be harder to pick up via the form. Consequently we have a number of people we will be able to call on for help soon! Huge thanks to all who turned up and offered their services. You are great! This is an event we would like to run again so why don't you put your name on our email listings and you will automatically get an invite. Or watch this space!
